This channel has a series of TriDike silt dams to prevent sediment flow. The distance between each set of dams is dependant on the slope. Each dam dissipates the water flow energy allowing silt to settle.

This TriDike silt dam has been installed correctly and is holding back a tremendous load of sediment.
