This is a CCS designed and installed box inlet protector. Before streets and curb tops are paved, storm sewers are left open and need to be protected from sediment washing in.

This inlet box protector is installed correctly, silt fence fabric is trenched in 10-12 inches beside the outer edge of the cement box. When installed correctly, this BMP can withstand large amounts of sediment while keeping the curb box inlet clear.
